Our studio is a creative workspace, which houses the team during the week. The studio is a place to collaborate, brainstorm and discuss ideas, a place to build, create, model and produce. Mark Bithrey founded B3 Designers in 2002. He has worked in developing branded architectural interiors in leisure-dominated agencies for more than fifteen years. B3 Designers has, under Mark’s creative direction, developed an impressive, diverse and award-winning portfolio. Recent examples include the award-winning Carbon and Babel bars as well as Le Gavroche. Prior to founding B3 Mark worked for Din Associates, Revolution and Portland Design where he gained a great deal of experience in the retail sector, having completed projects for Selfridges, Virgin, Guinness and Ferrari. In addition to his work at B3 Mark held the post for Marketing Director at the British Institute of Interior Design (BIID), is an affiliate member of RIBA and a member of the Chartered Society of Designers.
Creative collaboration and a down to earth, 'hands on’ approach are key to B3′s services. Our team is made up of a group of diverse individuals who reflect this range of skills; our associates have backgrounds in interior, graphic and product design as well as architecture, brand writing and strategy. Additionally, we work closely with associate consultants who have extensive backgrounds is project management and quantity surveying.;

Our philosophy is that every project we undertake is bespoke. We work extensively both with branded concepts and independent restaurants. Ensuring each interior space has a unique identity, whether it's a one-off, or part of a bigger brand family. We are sensitive to the fabric and location of the buildings we work with and create concepts that uniquely work for that particular locality and space.
With a strong track record of producing appealing designs that both attract customers and have a lasting quality, we work to a fixed budget and ensure a sound commercial investment for our clients. We believe that effective communication and flexibility are essential to new business ventures. For this reason, we offer an initial consultation where new projects can be discussed in further detail so that the client’s brief is fully understood. In this initial consultation the client’s vision for their new business, the intended market audience, details of the site and resources available going forward are discussed. Based on this initial consultation we will prepare a written brief and proposal of how best to go forward; whether it’s developing a new interior concept for a business plan or working with the client to visualise and implement their new brand.
The design team will research the competition and amass ideas to come up with a concept that fits the brand. The concept will then be presented back to the client. Following the presentation, we discuss the concept with the client, incorporate feedback and tweak the concept so it is right for the client’s vision, space and market audience.
Once the concept is approved, we will draw up layout options and put together a sample board of materials and colours. We produce visuals of the design and translate the concept into working drawings that can be submitted to a contractor for tender. If required, the working drawings will be submitted to the planning authorities for approval. We have had a huge amount of experience with planning submissions and are aware of the requirements as detailed by building control.
We work closely with associate Project Managers and Quantity Surveyors and are able to incorporate their services as we head toward the build stage. A Project Manager will produce a detailed Schedule of Works that lays out all the elements of the work needing to be done. Once this has been finalised the project is put out for tender to three contractors. Additionally, we have a wealth of experience in working alongside Project Managers and are able to assist during tender negotiations and attend site meetings to ensure that the design is implemented correctly and within budget.;
