Edo Robata Kemuri, a famous restaurant for more than a decade located in Japan, has recently opened another branch in Shanghai, China in December 2012. The Kemuri Shanghai design has been inspired by the Kill Bill movies and an occidental angle to portray the Asian culture.
Therefore the strong use of the colour red reflecting upon the movie’s bloody theme as well as displaying China’s and Japan’s national colour was inevitable.
The utilisation of ancient looking Hemp ropes symbolises the cooperation and collaboration among people, displaying strength and union in the texture itself. Designed by Prism Design. Images: Retail Design Blog.
