Concrete Masterclass at Domus

We recently attended the “Bespoke 3D Concrete Tile Design” masterclass, at Domus’ showroom in Clerkenwell. Tim Balderstone took us through the history of concrete in architecture and design, showing us samples of iconic buildings like “Fallingwater” by Frank Lloyd Wright, the “Church of the light” by Tadao Ando, the “Cathedral of Brasilia” by Oscar Niemeyer and “L’Oceanogràfic by Félix Candela as well as many other interesting and inspiring buildings.

The Ned Restaurant Review

After hearing so much about the Ned, the pair of us decided to head over and dine at one of its nine restaurants. Formerly the old Midland Bank of London in the 1920s, the Soho House Group turned this stunning, historical building into this vibrant and exciting new hotel space while retaining a lot of its original classic features.
