Brasserie Campion, Lille, France

Introducing Brasserie Campion, Nouvelle Garde's first brasserie outside of Paris.

This area of Brasserie Campion is rich with different types of marble and features a custom orange velvet tasselled pedestal seating.

Brasserie Campion is located in the heart of Lille, close to La Vieille Bourse.

For the fast-growing group, this is a bold direction to head in, the team restored and renewed this listed three-building restaurant with a lot of care and precision.

A lot of inspiration for this project was drawn from Lille’s unique ‘estaminet’ concept.

'Estaminet' means a relaxed and cosy café environment with wine, of course, this also includes Nouvelle Garde’s special twists!

This location is deeply historic; therefore, it was important for B3 as well as the architectural team to ensure a seamless guest experience transitioning through a front bar and restaurant area – a covered courtyard through to a back dining area too.

One of Nouvelle Garde’s signature brasserie features is an open kitchen and bar seating for guests to see all the action up close.

Bar seating also gives guests a variety of seating options, each area will have a different palette of finishes.

'Estaminet' - noun - a small cafe selling alcoholic drinks.

The entrance to Brasserie Campion welcomes guests with a bar, enriched in marble and orange velvet tasselled pedestal seating.

As guests enter the brasserie they’ll be welcomed by a horseshoe-shaped bar.

This area is rich with different types of marble, large globe pendants, custom orange velvet tasselled pedestal seating and dark timber finishes.

Moving onto the dining area, there are large green banquettes, marble table tops and bespoke pendant lights per table, creating intimacy and warmth.

The back bar is where you'll find large brass chandeliers and bespoke globe lights.

Bar seating also gives guests a variety of seating options.

'A fun and vibrant atmosphere...'

This area as well as the wine cabinet features beautifully detailed custom joinery, softly illuminated dark oak with inset mirrors.

The partition wall with panelled glass has gold drapes and ties, which allows guests to see through to the courtyard and kitchen.

The unique checkerboard tiled floor and yellow Moroccan tile tabletops are tied together with lavish greenery.

A fun and vibrant atmosphere is created with the large brass chandeliers and bespoke globe lights along with the backdrop of a bustling kitchen.

Two sets of double doors lead onto the furthest dining area.

Here, guests see hues of red and striped jalousies end-to-end for an artistic and theatrical feel.

The large banquette wraps across two sides, it's waved-shaped and paired with green marble, a full display of styled props.

You'll also see an art gallery wall, which encapsulates guests with its bold and dramatic details.
