We were approached by the owners of Tamarind Kitchen in Mayfair to design the brand identity and interiors for their new independent restaurant Imli Street.
Located in the heart of Soho, Imli meaning Tamarind in Hindi is a small fine dining Indian restaurant, which serves food influenced by the plethora of Indian street food.
We captured this energy into their brand identity, creating a brand centred on the excitement of travel around India.
Activating the restaurant's playful side, we created bespoke vintage-industrial stamps for the staff to stamp the logo straight onto the menus.
This stamping acts as a live and simple communication of the available dishes.
In keeping with our interior design, which complemented the food offering through creating an urban and raw canvas, we chose menu paper with natural inclusions for a handmade natural feel.
These menus were displayed in industrial metal mesh baskets spread throughout the restaurant for customer ease.
