Brand Identity
Mei Mei is located in Borough Market Kitchen, London. Headed by Michelin star Chef Elizabeth Haigh, this kiosk opened in late 2019 and offers a curated selection of Singaporean street food. Alongside the kiosk interiors, we designed Mei Mei's brand identity.
The name ‘Mei Mei’ translates to ‘little sister’. In keeping with this, the logo incorporates a smaller ‘i’ in the second line. The colour scheme is tightly linked to those used in the interior design.
We created a background pattern for the logo which was inspired by rice grains and worked on the collateral including printed menus, business cards, and coasters.
Our in-house illustration team designed menu boards, displaying the step-by-step process involved in putting together the incredible street food.
These illustrations were printed on wood and hung above the counter, working both as an advertisement and as a menu. The colours chosen were based on traditional recipe illustrations.
We worked on a branding pack and guidelines for Mei Mei, to support brand applications across logos, colour schemes, and fonts, along with a list of established suppliers.
Our guidelines work as a steadfast asset to interpret and implement the organisation’s vision, mission, new projects, and branded collateral.
