Nando's, UK

B3 worked with Nando’s, the remowned Portuguese-African high street restaurant, to design the interiors for 33 of their stores across the UK.

Our design of Nando’s restaurants included new builds and refurbishments. We created each restaurant to have both its own identity and communicate the Nando’s brand. We carefully curated the Nando’s key brand elements into every restaurant by exploring textures, materiality and bold colour combinations to create the Portuguese-African look & feel. 

The overall look and feel of our designs expressed the energy and boldness of Nando's. Reclaimed timber and playful ceramic tiles were used with finesse to create patterned and richly textured venues. African-inspired upholstery was applied in abundance in unusual interesting ways.

FF&E was designed to be hardwearing, with vibrantly coloured and textured upholstery layered ontop. We created bold and dynamic lighting to define restaurant areas and strikingly illuminate the playfully designed interiors. 

We tailored every design to the restaurant’s architecture and neighbourhood.

Each restaurant’s design concept had a unique focal feature, such as a large feature wall, architectural ceiling feature of the service counter. These focal features creatively used materials in interesting ways, creating out-of-the-ordinary and spectacular installations in every restaurant.
