Sumi Brand Identity, London

B3 Designers designed the branding for SUMI, a Sushi and Japanese restaurant in Notting Hill, London.

B3 Designers designed the branding for SUMI, a Sushi and Japanese restaurant in Notting Hill, London. Our brief was to design branding that was elegant, geometric, and airy, and complemented the interior design.

For the branding pack, we created: logo, typography, colour schemes, patterns and visuals, signage and illustrations, menu cards, printed collateral, website, uniform recommendations.

Designing the logo

For the logo, we went with an elegant serif font in upper case, building out a deck of supporting fonts and a colour palette of a deep blue, a neutral orange, black and grey.

Pattern DESIGN

For the pattern, we created a unique beautiful rhythmic texture with circles and delicate lines - inspired by Japanese fabric prints and geometric repetition.

The lines are defined in deep blue, running over interspersed orange circles. We went with textured cotton paper for all printed collateral.

Menu and website design

The menus are designed for quick and easy reading, as well as editing for the operational teams. For the website, we went with minimal easy-to-navigate pages with all information a guest might need.
